TSRTC LAUNCHED NEW E-GARUDA ELECTRIC INTERCITY BUS
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation(TSRTC) launched it's brand new electric AC intercity buses built by Olectra(on CX2 model). These buses are branded as E- Garuda.
Total 10 buses were launched out of 50 buses, rest of them will be soon delivered to TSRTC under FAME-II Scheme. These buses will ply in between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The reservation facility is made available for these buses in the oprs platform with Discount. A special charging facility has been established by the MEIL for these electric vehicles at Suryapet district.

Olectra is a subsidary of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited(MEIL) in partnership with BYD, manufacturing electric vehicles in India. It is establishing a state of art manufacturing facility in 150 acres, in the outskirts of Hyderabad City, Telangana State for the manufacturing of e- vehicles in India. The facility will manufacture 10,000 electric buses per year of various models. The company is also planning to expand its product line to tippers, trucks, LCVs, three-wheelers and other EV products.
