CES 2015: LG shows off dual edge display smartphone

LG Display's concept device curves on both its left and right edges and has 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It has a 6-inch screen, which edges serve as narrow secondary screens that users can swipe and tap through. For e.g., users can access apps as well as missed notifications from the secondary screens.
Although the smartphone is an unnamed conceptual prototype, LG Display stated that the device is ready for mass production and could be launched in 2015, as early as Mobile World Congress in March. It's notable LG has also unveiled the LG G Flex 2 and a range of curved TV's at the CES 2015.
LG's concept smartphone is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge that was unveiled at the IFA event in Berlin. The smartphone's main display curves around the right edge of the phone to create a side display for notifications and one-tap access to apps, tasks and more. The premium smartphone comes with a stylus, and has an inbuilt fingerprint sensor and a heart-rate monitor
